Description:

Man recites major events of his life with dates, in German, beginning with his birth in Deutsch Ostrowo (Ostrw Wielkopolski) in 1842, and including coming to America in 1866. Then English speech: "We are all assembled here tonight celebrating M. Jonas's birthday and hope that he lives to see a hundred and four years." Various speakers give their best wishes; one wishes that on the celebrant's sixty-fifth birthday he will be a proud grandfather. Biographical details and name match those of Mendel Jonas, clothier of Goshen, New York, born May 9, 1842.
