Includes two letters from George Kao, editor of Rendition, to the author. The 1st letter attached to the beginning of the manuscript discusses how to best translate the name of the main charater "Yin Hsueh-yen (Yin Xueyan)" and suggested "Snow Beauty". The second letter attached to the end of the manuscript gives a further account of his editorial opinion on the name translation.
