Marine Pharmacology -- A sea urchin is injected to induce spawning at the marine pharmacology laboratory at UC Santa Barbara in a test to determine if compounds made from marine organisms will inhibit cell division in urchin eggs. From left are graduate student Ellen Burley and Steven White, Professor Robert Jacobs, who is director of the marine pharmacology program, and graduate student Paul Culver.
