Male speech beginning: "Hello, Mister Graphophone. How do you do this evening? We have some friends here this evening in old Number Four [= a nickname for Charlestown, New Hampshire], celebrating my widowerhood, as it was." Speaker introduces Charles Bradford, Daniel Gray, and Walker, and gives date as "March thirtieth nineteen hundred and--," year obscured by miscut groove. Whistling. Partly erased or recorded-over speech towards end.
